Newscaster: Professor Moti Mironi of the law faculty at Haifa University, and someone who served as an arbitrator in the previous agreement, signed between doctors and the treasury 10 years ago, says that the current strike could have been avoided if the state engaged in negotiations from time to time, rather then exploit the physicians'' reluctance to strike. We did not have to reach the situation, he said. He told Reshet Bet it could have been possible to extend the previous arbitration agreement along with a doctors'' commitment not to strike.
